Meet the Team behind the Mower
We are Michael and Ellie, a couple turned partnership who founded and started Everclear Gardens together. Michael is from Sydney and Ellie is from England. We’ve been together for nearly a decade, travelled a bit through our youth, and moved to the Blue Mountains to settle (because we love it around here)!
Michael brings his knowledge and experience with a background in garden care, landscaping, DIY and web design (he designed this website)! He’s equipped with an excellent eye to detail, cutting the sharpest edges from Blackheath to Blaxland, and is always up for giving a helping hand. His eye for precision, calm demeanour and patience makes him the best man for the job!
Ellie brings a background in writing, gardening and customer services. She’s well versed in customer satisfaction, copy and content writing, and pushes a mean mower up and down the mountainous gardens of NSW. She loves flowers and learning about the native flora and fauna in the area, as well as roses. Give her a call for any queries, issues and feedback because she’s always happy to chat! Why we started Everclear Gardens
We’re passionate about the natural world, and are always looking to learn more. During our travels, we spent a lot of time walking and wandering various landscapes – from the rolling fields of Yorkshire to the red sands and boab tree covered lands of the NT.
We knew we wanted to work outside, with gardens, in nature, and in service to other people. Being in the beauty of the Blue Mountains opened us up to that idea further when we saw the luscious gardens and quaint homes within towns like Leura and Katoomba.
We aim to work locally to build connections within the communities around, to service and maintain all gardens to keep the grass, and the hedges, the trees and the bushes healthy; and to make the homes and gardens a safer environment during bushfire seasons.
What we mean by eco-friendly, cleaner and quieter
We are eco-friendly, and believe in progress above all, which is why we have invested in all battery operated equipment. It’s cleaner, quieter and better for the environment because it doesn’t use petrol to fuel it – it uses fully rechargeable batteries which means no more smelly emissions. We currently use the brand AEG for all of our tools and equipment.
We work with organic weed-killers, and are careful about any chemicals in the garden. Whatever we take from the Earth, we try to put back into it. We prioritise the health of the lawn, the soil, the trees and all that grows within the garden, and we prioritise what’s healthy for the people using it too.
We hope to be the sustainable lawn and garden maintenance business of the future to help reduce emissions and keep the Blue Mountains air as clean and healthy as possible, as well as all the gardens.
